Homemade Mulled Wine Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of red wine (750 ml) – we recommend our Tautila Tinto

  • 4 tablespoons of honey (adjust to taste)

  • 1 orange, sliced

  • 1 lemon, sliced

  • 6 cloves

  • 2–3 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 star anise

  • 3 slices of fresh ginger

Preparation:

  1. Warm the wine: Pour the red wine into a pot and heat over medium heat. Avoid bringing it to a boil.

  2. Add sweetness: Stir in the honey until fully dissolved.

  3. Infuse with citrus: Add the orange and lemon slices to the pot.

  4. Add spices: Toss in the cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and ginger slices.

  5. Simmer gently: Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 15–20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  6. Strain and serve: Once ready, strain the mulled wine to remove the fruit and spices.

  7. Enjoy: Serve hot in cups, and savor the comforting aroma and taste of this classic winter warmer.
